October 24, 2018 by webmaster 1 Comment

JUUstice Washington was honored to invite Cynthia Good to share her expertise and insights  at our inaugural Justice Summit on October 20, 2018.  Cynthia Good and her co-presenter Kyana Wheeler conducted a plenary session designed to help participants begin to identify and respond to systems of privilege and oppression in their justice efforts and in the broader world.

Cynthia Good, MS, CDE, CATSM is a Certified Diversity Executive and an experienced anti-racist, anti-oppression educator, facilitator, analyst, and strategist. She helps individuals and organizations develop an equity lens and toolbox for their work in the world—from implementing strategies to counter unconscious bias to effectively addressing the developmental nature of anti-oppression work for individuals and institutions to strategic planning for measurably more equitable organizational outcomes across intersecting systems of privilege and oppression.

Cynthia is the Program Manager for the Evolution Project which birthed JUUstice Washington from the Northwest Unitarian Universalist Justice Network and Unitarian Universalist Voices for Justice. As a long-time Unitarian Universalist, she understands the challenges faced by UUs, their congregations, and their organizations as they strive to manifest their valuing of equity, diversity, and inclusion—all of which are inherent in the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism. She is also the Executive Director of LifeCircle Consulting.
