I hope you and yours are staying safe and finding ways to celebrate in this challenging holiday season.
My name is Justin. I’m from Niles, Michigan and have been a volunteer with Town Hall Project since early 2019. 2020 has been VERY different from when I first started, but that doesn’t change how incredibly important this work is.
I volunteer with Town Hall Project because I believe that office holders must be accountable and available to their constituents. Period.
The 2020 election may be over, but the work doesn’t stop. A new Congress is about to be sworn in and it is crucial for Americans across the country to be heard. Renewing our democracy doesn’t happen in a single election, and the job of holding our lawmakers accountable–no matter what party they belong to–continues into 2021.
This is why Town Hall Project is so crucial to me–it provides a year-round service to constituents who want to know if and when their representatives are available to them — work that can also encourage those representatives to make themselves more available. And hundreds of local and national grassroots groups rely on THP’s rapid, accurate research to hold their lawmakers accountable.
Volunteer research with Town Hall Project is very easy. This is work that can be done from anywhere with an internet connection and is a small commitment (but high impact) each week.
Will you join me in taking action and holding these elected leaders accountable to their constituents?
