TRUUsT – We are trans Unitarian Universalist religious professionals. We encompass many genders, races, ethnicities, abilities, classes, ages, and sexualities; we are diverse in terms of spiritual belief, practice, and ministry; and we understand our work for liberation as intimately tied to all efforts to dismantle oppression within Unitarian Universalism and our wider world.

Transforming Hearts Collective is a collective of UUs supporting spaces for LGBTQ people to access resilience, healing, and spirituality, and we resource faith communities and other groups for the work of radical inclusion and culture shift.  This includes the self-directed, online course “Trans Inclusion in Congregations” and other materials.

Embracing Transgender, Nonbinary, Intersex and Gender Diverse People is a Fundamental Expression of UU Religious Values – 2024 Business Resolution.  The resolution also lists other statements in UUA history concerning gender and reproductive rights issues.

Reproductive Justice

UUA Reproductive Justice As part of a liberatory Reproductive Justice movement, we affirm our commitment to building a world in which all people are able to make choices about their bodies, their health, and their families within safe, thriving communities.

Side with Love’s Reproductive Justice and Abortion Access provides links to resources including the Congregational Reproductive Justice Action Guide and the Unitarian Universalist Association Issue Guide: Abortion and Reproductive Justice.

UUA Reproductive Justice 2015 Statement of Conscience.  “As Unitarian Universalists, we embrace the reproductive justice framework, which espouses the human right to have children, not to have children, to parent the children one has in healthy environments and to safeguard bodily autonomy and to express one’s sexuality freely . . .

UUA Abortion Rights.  This list includes every page or product with this tag from UUA.org, UU World magazine, or inSpirit books & gifts.

Safety

There is growing concern about increased surveillance of personal information, and evidence that our social and personal communications can be monitored readily.  Because of this, those most at risk of legal proceedings urge us to use encrypted forms of communication, especially when communicating with them.  Please consider using Signal as an alternative for texting and video-calling people when it relates to sensitive information and organizing.

How To Be Safe While Using Signal (written guide)
