Washington state friends, there is an easy way to make a difference supporting low income families in the state. You can call your legislator and ask them to support HB 2441 which increases access to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and addresses racial disparities in the program. This will strengthen the safety net for Washington’s most vulnerable families. You can find your legislators here: https://app.leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/ And call this number to reach them: 1-800-562-6000. When you call the hotline an operator will answer and ask for your name and address. You can leave a message and the operator will pass it on to your legislators.
